Our relentless focus on leadership development and ensuring our talent gets the right field experience across multiple markets has allowed us to have at hand a pool of capable people ready to take on strategic leadership roles. Supun is an example of a great talent, developed internally over his 14 years with the Group, first at Dialog in Sri Lanka and then at corporate centre, now ready to take on the role as CEO at one of our operating companies. This is also the case with Kanishka who has been with us in Sri Lanka, Cambodia and the corporate centre before his assignment as CFO.

Given his experience in the industry and within the Group, Supun will play a crucial role in Robi's future growth, already successfully begun under Michael's leadership. I would like to thank Michael for his tremendous contributions in building the business. Under Michael's stewardship Robi made a dramatic turnaround in financial performance in 2012, outperforming all their targets. As Bangladesh embraces the internet era with the deployment of 3G services, I am confident that Supun and his team will steer the company towards a new phase of growth”.
