Axiata and its Group of Companies Reaffirms its Corruption Free Practice

Kuala Lumpur, 16 January 2018 – Axiata Group Berhad (Axiata) and its operating companies comprising of Celcom Axiata Berhad, Axiata Business Services Sdn. Bhd., Axiata Digital Services Sdn. Bhd. and edotco Group Sdn. Bhd., today reaffirm their pledge to be corruption free, bribe free, graft free and to practice and uphold the highest levels of integrity and Corporate Governance as one of Malaysia’s leading corporates with a presence in 11 countries across ASEAN and South Asia.

Tan Sri Jamaludin Ibrahim, President & Group Chief Executive Officer of Axiata led members of his senior management team and employees of the Group in reciting the oath and make their pledge in the presence of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) team who was represented by YBhg. Dato’ Abdul Samat Bin Kasah, Director of Community Education Department.

At the ceremony, Jamaludin said, “As a leading telecoms group and an international Malaysian GLC, Axiata is honoured to be a part of this move to drive greater levels of transparency, governance, integrity and ethical standards, not just in Malaysia, but across all markets within our footprint.

“As part of our corporate culture across all our businesses and investments, the Group has held two guiding principles as part of its values, there are Uncompromising Integrity and Exceptional Performance. Uncompromising in our integrity is not only to maintain a clean track record, we want to be squeaky clean. This means an absolute zero-tolerance on anything against this ethos where every employee of the Group is bound by to this practice.”
