Axiata Launches 'Axiata Roam' Offering Local rates for International calls Home
Kuala Lumpur, 1st November 2010 - Axiata, via its subsidiaries, has launched ‘Axiata Roam', an initiative to enhance customers' roaming experience by offering an innovative plan which will see roaming call rates significantly slashed to ensure peace of mind. Under Axiata Roam, Axiata customers traveling abroad will only pay local rates for calls home, without worrying about roaming call charges when traveling within Axiata's network of mobile operators in Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Cambodia. The offer follows on from the Group's other unique offers in roaming and retail IDD and is part Axiata's strategy towards becoming the leader in this space.
‘Axiata Roam', currently the lowest rate amongst any operator in the region, is intended to cater to the increasing demand of roamers across the region. Targeted at travelers andcorporate customers, the initiative is yet another unique Axiata offer, leveraging on its regional footprint and group synergies, to provide an unmatchable proposition. This promotion will be valid for four months, until 28th February next year.
